Tiimo alternative, when the house is the part that slips

Tiimo is a good app and this page is not going to pretend otherwise. It is iPhone App of the Year 2025 by its own listing, and it plans an entire day across every device you own. The question worth answering is narrower: what to do when the thing that keeps sliding off the plan is cleaning.

short answer

Tiimo is a visual day planner for all of life, on iOS, Android, Mac, watch and web, with an AI co-planner and calendar import. Nudge is iPhone-only and does cleaning alone: two questions, then one task at a time. Pick Tiimo if you want one planner for everything. Pick Nudge if planning is the step where it falls apart. Tiimo publishes no price, so no one can tell you which is cheaper.

Built from the can't-start problem, not a perfect-home ideal

I build Nudge alone, and I live with executive dysfunction. I designed it around one tiny action, changing capacity, and restarting without a missed-day penalty—the cleaning support I wanted to use myself.

Planning versus starting

A planner assumes the hard part is deciding what happens when. For a lot of people that is exactly right, and a well-made visual plan is the difference between a day that works and one that does not.

For other people the plan was never the problem. The plan is fine. The plan has been fine for weeks. What does not happen is the first physical movement, and a better-laid-out plan does not touch that. Nudge is built for the second case: you answer how much energy and how long, and it gives you one task. Start Rescue goes further and reads a single physical step aloud.

If that sounds like the wrong diagnosis of your situation, Tiimo is the better buy and we would rather you got the right one.

When Tiimo is the better choice

When Nudge is the better choice

What replaces the planning step

  • Nudge Plan my day on iPhone: I'll pick the right tasks for your energy. How's your energy, from very low to high with medium selected, how much time, from 15 to 90 minutes with 30 selected, and a Build my plan button.

two questions, no day to lay out

How much energy you have, and how long you have. That is the whole setup.

  • Nudge home screen on iPhone. Mochi stands in the living room doorway and says: evening, maya. the living room has been lived-in since sunday. one tiny thing? Below it, how much have you got today? with four Mochi choices, frozen, a little, some and lots, and a note that frozen and a little swap in a 5-min rescue. Then the next step, Clear the coffee table, living room, about 1 minute, then Mochi brings a gift, with Start this task and Easier buttons, More for this task, and a Visit Mochi card: the living room is lived-in, 2 gifts.

then one task at a time

The next step, the room it is in, and the minutes it should take.

Two questions, then one task

Nudge is a subscription on iPhone, billed only through the App Store. Weekly is $2.99 with no trial. Monthly is $6.99 and Annual is $49.99, and both include a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.

Tiimo alternative questions

Is Nudge a replacement for Tiimo?

For most people, no. Tiimo plans an entire day across every device you own and is a well-regarded app. Nudge covers one category, cleaning, on iPhone only. If Tiimo is working for the rest of life and the house is the part that keeps slipping, they can sit alongside each other.

Which one is cheaper?

There is no verifiable answer. Tiimo's FAQ says the local price appears at checkout rather than publishing a figure. Nudge is Weekly $2.99, Monthly $6.99 or Annual $49.99, and is the more expensive option against every cleaning app we have price-checked.

Why did Tiimo charge me straight away on monthly?

Because its FAQ states the 7-day trial applies to the yearly plan only, and a monthly purchase is charged right away. Our Tiimo cancellation guide covers what to do next.

Does Nudge import my calendar?

No. There is no calendar import and no day-planning view. Nudge asks what you have got right now and gives you one task that fits it.

Does Nudge work on Android?

No. Nudge is iPhone only, running on iOS 16.4 or later. If you need Android, Tiimo covers it and Nudge does not.
